# How every statement here is documented

A short walk-through of how statements on this index are documented, using only what the site already states or what can be counted from its data. For the full account, see [how this index is made](https://humanpeptides.fyi/method).

1. **Every statement carries its source link.** Each benefit line, side-effect line and quote on a compound page links to the source it reports. Where several statements sit under one benefit and the sources cannot be pinned to a single statement, the links are shown once for the whole benefit.
2. **Quotes are word for word.** A quote is copied word for word, attributed to its speaker and linked to the page it came from. The index holds 141 quotes from 48 of its 48 compounds.
3. **Each compound has an evidence label and a regulatory statement.** All 48 compounds carry one of five evidence labels (Approved (specific use), Trial-backed, Early human, Preclinical, Unstudied). 48 of 48 have a recorded regulatory statement, each with its source link. The label describes human research, not legal status.
4. **Each source link carries a source-type label.** The 693 pages cited across the index are each labelled by type, so the label tells you how much weight the source can bear. See [source types](https://humanpeptides.fyi/knowledge-base/source-types).
5. **The site makes no claims of its own.** humanpeptides.fyi makes no claims of its own. Every benefit, side effect, nickname and quote reports what a cited source says, with its link.
6. **Where to check.** Open the linked original source. The source is the authority, and this site is not the original source of any information on it. Browse the [sources](https://humanpeptides.fyi/sources).
